What I noticed in myself
- A bad night fills my bucket right from the start — the next day I'm far more sensitive.
- Stress seems to set off reactions all on its own, regardless of food.
- Cold, intense exercise, heat can do it too.
What helped
- I treat sleep as a priority, not a luxury.
- During stressful stretches, I keep food simple — I know my margin is smaller.
- Gentle movement, breathing, breaks — anything that lowers my stress also takes something out of the bucket.
The big lesson: histamine intolerance isn't only about what you eat, it's about how you live overall.
A practical trick: in the evening I do a little "wind-down" routine — dimmer lights, no screens for an hour before bed, a tea I tolerate well. It doesn't fix everything, but better sleep means an emptier bucket the next day, and that ripples into everything.
